Jodie Croft
Hi, my name is Jody Croft.
I work for the Swan Hill Aboriginal Health Service as a clinical AHW, so I am regularly supporting the Nurse, Doctor and Patients attending our clinic.
A big part of my role is also doing the QAAMS quality testing required twice a month.
I was born in South Australia, but moved to the Northern Territory when I was very young. I grew up in the Northern Territory and met my partner there, before moving to Victoria in 2001.
I have always had a passion to help country men and women and it’s very rewarding to work in this field and gain the knowledge to be able to better help people understand and take control of their health issues.
I am passionate about diabetes, as this was the main health problem my father had, and issues associated with this disease ultimately took his life. So I feel that supporting and assisting with QAAMS testing and education is a very important role for me to undertake, especially knowing it gives deeper insight into the patients’ health with regard to their blood sugar levels and how this knowledge can better improve their treatment.
I am also an artist and enjoy painting in my spare time.
