David Badger
David trained as a teacher and taught in rural high schools in South Australia
before joining Flinders University in 1995 as computer network manager in
the Dept of General Practice. In that role he became involved with the Cochrane
Collaboration, training Cochrane reviewers in the use of Cochrane review
software and managing the Cochrane Collaboration web site.
In 2001 he joined the staff of the Rural and Remote Health Unit headed by
Paul Worley and was one of the early staff members of the Flinders University
Rural Clinical School (FURCS) in 2003. His focus moved from computers to
video production and the development of learning resources. In 2004 he relocated
from Flinders Medical Centre to the FURCS headquarters in Renmark as Learning
Resources Coordinator.
In 2007 he completed a Master in Flexible Learning through USQ in order
to better support online education initiatives.
David has built up significant expertise in the use of videoconferencing
for high quality teaching and administration within FURCS and the University.
He has enjoyed developing training videos for several Community Point-of-Care
programs and providing technical support for the annual QAAMS workshops
since 2007.
